OUR SPEAKERS

Dr. Madeeha Khan (Australia)

Senior Dentist, Clinical Liaison & Lead Lecturer, MRC HQ

Dr. Khan is a general dentist, receiving her degree from Griffith University in 2016. She has been working at MRC clinics since graduation and has assumed the responsibility of providing treatment support, education and advice to Myobrace® members and practitioners using The Myobrace® System in Australia and abroad. Dr.Khan is passionate about improving the overall health of children and her desire to work at MRC stemmed from her belief that early intervention can change the course of paediatric health. She is now the lead presenter for MRC and lectures all over the world.

Dr. Barry Raphael (USA)

Founder of the Raphael Centre for Integrative Orthodontics

Dr. Raphael is a specialist orthodontist and was introduced to MRC in 2008. Since this introduction He has become a prolific advocator of change orthodontics, working closely with the American Dental Association (ADA) and American Association of Orthodontics (AAO). Now, Dr. Raphael practises a wide range of integrative techniques designed to help children grow in the best possible way and to help adults find wellness, not just symptomatic relief.

Patrick McKeown (MA, FRSB) (Ireland)

Word Renowned Buteyko Breathing Instructor

Patrick McKeown is a leading international authority on the Buteyko Method. Educated at Trinity College Dublin, he completed his clinical training in Russia and was accredited in 2002 by the method’s founder, the late Dr. Konstantin Buteyko. For the past twenty years, He has taught functional breathing to help children and adults with respiratory, sleep and mental health disorders. The author of ten books  published in 16 languages, Patrick has trained thousands of healthcare professionals in the Buteyko Method, in over 50 countries worldwide.

Dr. Tina Rokadia (UAE)

BDS, MDS

Dr. Tina is a prosthodontist with 18 years of experience and is an Airway Focused Practitioner since 2021. She is Qualified by American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, has training from the Breathe Institute and has expertise in Lingual Frenectomies, treatment for Sleep Apnea/Snoring as well as Myofunctional Treatments in children and adults. She runs an Airway Study club in her role as the UAE liaison for the American Academy of Physiological Medicine and Dentistry (AAPMD). Dr. Rokadia believes that treatment of sleep-disordered breathing requires a multi-disciplinary approach through airway-focused ENTs, Orthodontists, Cranio-sacral osteopaths, Myofunctional Therapists, Buteyko breathing experts often led by an airway-focused dentist. She helps patients create this team together. She follows a functional approach to offer more “root cause” treatments.

Dr. Preeth Shetty (UAE)

BDS, MDS

Dr. Preeth shetty is a specialist pediatric dentist with 25 years clinical experience with an exclusive pediatric dental practice for 19 years. Currently focused on myofunctional therapy and sleep disordered breathing in children. He completed his Bachelor’s from SDM College of dental sciences, Dharwad, and obtained his master’s in Pediatric Dentistry from ABSMIDS, Rajiv Gandhi University. Also, Diploma (Dip Ortho) in Functional and Neuromuscular Orthodontics (ICNOG, Italy) and ongoing mastership in Lasers in dentistry under RWTH Aachen University. He has been an academician and researcher with over 12 years of teaching graduates and post graduate students. He is currently heading the Dental in NYCRFMC medical center in Abu Dhabi working closely with children with dentofunctional abnormalities and sleep disordered breathing.
